Dan began his career in the Financial Services industry in February 1978.  Six years later he received his designation as a certified Financial Planner from the College for Financial Planning.  To better focus on the growing needs of his clients, Dan joined Mel Nachman as a Partner in Professional Planning in December 1999. 

Dan has life, disability and health insurance licenses through the California Department of Insurance.  He is also an investment advisor representative with Professional Planning, a Registered Investment Advisor registered with the SEC.  He is able to help clients with stocks, bonds, annuities and mutual funds as well as providing financial advice.

Dan attended both Cal-Arts as well as UCLA. During the past 10 years Dan has been actively involved in his community as President of the Simi Valley Soccer Foundation and as a member of the Simi Sunrise Rotary Club.

Dan’s mission has been to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Mr. Bock has been employed as an investment adviser representative of Professional Planning since 2005. Mr. Bock has also been a registered representative of Mutual Securities Inc. since June of 2009. From 2001 until June of 2009 Mr. Bock was employed as a registered representative of Royal Alliance Associates, Inc.

Mr. Bock has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ since January, 2013. The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® and federally registered CFP (collectively, the “CFP® marks”) are professional certification marks granted in the United States by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (“CFP Board”).

Mr. Bock has held the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) since August 2012. The College of Financial Planning® awards the CRPC® designation to applicants who complete the CRPC® professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to a code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education. Continued use of the CRPC® designation is subject to ongoing renewal requirements.

Ken has life, disability and long term care insurance license through the California Department of Insurance.  Ken holds the Designated Real Property Administrator, BOMA, 1993.  He is also an investment advisor representative with Professional Planning, a Registered Investment Advisor registered with the SEC. He is able to help clients with stocks, bonds, annuities and mutual funds as well as providing financial advice.

Mr. Bock was born in 1961. Mr. Bock graduated from the California State University of Northridge, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition, Ken has served as President of Temple Adat Elohim and served on their Board of Trustees for 14 years. He plays tennis and enjoys riding his road bike. Ken has been married for over 30 years and has two children to whom he attributes most of his grey hair.

Mel joined a physicians service organization in 1970 as a Financial Planner. In 1973 he formed PROFESSIONAL PLANNING and has helped hundreds of individuals solve their personal and business financial problems, and plan for a sound financial future.

Mel received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in 1964. He pursued graduate studies in Business and finance at the University of Florida, Newark College of Engineering and at the University of Southern California. He completed a two year program from the College of Financial Planning and obtained a Certified Financial Planner (CFP TM) designation. He has a Life and Disability Insurance License, Real Estate Brokers License. He is also an investment advisor representative with Professional Planning, a Registered Investment Advisor registered with the SEC.

Mel served as a California State Commissioner for Aviation and Airports, and as Commissioner on the Advisory Commission for Life and Health Insurance. He recently served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy. Previously, he served on the Board of  Directors for the Arthritis Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of San Fernando Valley, the Board of Trustees for Valley Presbyterian Hospital and participated in many other charitable organizations.

Rick was born in 1965 and graduated from California State University Northridge in 1989, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance. Rick has been an investment adviser representative of Professional Planning since April 2016 and a registered representative of Mutual Securities Inc. since April 2016. From May 2007 to April 2016, Rick was a registered representative of Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. and from June 2004 to November 2015, he was the President of Winters Financial Group, Inc.

Rick also has his life, disability and long term care insurance licenses through the California Department of Insurance.
